Thank you for visiting Powhatan United Methodist Church online. PUMC has a wonderfully rich tradition dating from 1789 and a keen desire to meet the current needs of our community.
You will find we are an active community of faith with many opportunities for adults and children to be nurtured, and to participate in our ministries here and around the world.

Sandra Lowe
Church Administrator
Sandra has been the Church Administrator for 20 years and is an essential component to the Powhatan United Methodist Church's infrastructure.

Allison Stowers
Ministry of Music
As music Director, Allison is responsible for leading the adult choir, children's choir, special programs and participating in vacation bible school. Allison Stowers studied at Webster University Conservatory for Musical Theatre in St. Louis, MO under the tutelage of Dr. Wesley Lowe and Dr. Sandra Bauman.

Malene Utely
Director of Children
Malene has done a wonderful job of organizing all of our Children's Activities and Services, such as vacation bible school, children's church and Kid with Purpose.

Brenda Bell
Youth Director
Brenda studied at Regent University and has a degree in Practical Theology. Her mantra is "always bring a friend!" Brenda does outstanding work with our Jr and Sr High School students.
The TAGG TEAMS (Teens Accepting God's Grace) Mission Statement is to REACH students, to CONNECT them, to help them GROW in faith, to help them DISCOVER their ministry and to HONOR God.
Sharon Baltimore
Preschool Director
PUMC Preschool is a intregal part of our church, as well as a highly respected preschool in our community. Sharon has been key to the preschool's success for the past several years.
