Preschool strives to provide an opportunity for
children to enjoy age
appropriate social
and
educational experiences under the caring guidance
of qualified Christian teachers.
Fall Registration
Preschool registration for the fall of 2010 has begun!
Priority registration for currently enrolled children, their
siblings and church members continues through February.
Registration will be open to the public on March 5th.

PUMC Program
Preschool is in session
September through May. Classes are held
Monday through Friday from 9:00
am to 12:00 Noon.

2 day classes for
children who are 2 1/2 by September 30

2 or 3 day classes for
children who are 3 by September 30
-
3 day classes for
children who are 4 by September 30
-
5 day class for older 4's and young
5's (must be 4 by June 1, 2008)
Class Schedule
Each day is designed to
meet the developing needs of children ages 2 1/2 to 5.

plays, singing and sharing. |

Free Play Indoors

Children choose
their activity: puzzles, blocks, books, housekeeping,
listening station, legos, sand/water table or bike riding
in the gym. |

Creative Activities

Easel
painting, markers, play dough, glue, scissors and crayons.

Snack

|
Snacks are brought
from home and shared among the class. |

Free Play Outdoors

Equipment
provided to promote coordination and physical development.

Requirements
for Admission

Immunization
requirements are the same as for public schools

Children must be
potty trained to enter our 4's program

Registration form
and fee must be turned in and a certified copy of the child's
birth certificate presented

Children are
registered for the school year.

Withdrawal requires
30 days written notice.
Summer Fun Camps
Available
to children ages 3 to 6. All camps are held
from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The cost of each
camp is $80. A $5 discount will apply when registering for all
3 camps.

*Children do not have to be enrolled in the preschool
to attend camp.
Our staff and our facility
exceed all of the licensing requirements of the State Social Services
Department. The preschool is a ministry of Powhatan United Methodist
Church and is governed by the Powhatan United Methodist Church Preschool
